China Railway Materials Trade Group Co., Ltd. (CRMT) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Railway Group Limited (CREC), a Fortune Global 500 company. It originated from the Material Trade Branch (Procurement Management Center) of CREC. Established in February 2007, it was restructured into a limited liability company on December 18, 2010. In February 2017, it formed a corporate group with a registered capital of 3 billion yuan.  

CRMT is a large enterprise group under CREC, specializing in supply chain management and material trade. It is the designated entity for CREC's strategic and regional procurement, and is recognized as one of the first National Supply Chain Innovation and Application Demonstration Enterprises by eight ministries, including the Ministry of Commerce. CRMT also holds vice-chairman positions in the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing, the China Bidding & Tendering Association, and the China National Association of Metal Material Trade.  

CRMT has established branches, subsidiaries, divisions, and operating centers in major cities and regions across the country. The company primarily provides comprehensive material trading services for the construction industry, including steel, cement, rails, switches, petrochemicals, system equipment integration, non-ferrous metals, timber, rubber products, and machinery equipment. Additionally, it offers services such as economic information consulting, software development, supply chain financing, bidding and tendering agency, trade agency, freight forwarding, warehousing, import and export of goods, import and export of technology, and import and export agency.

CREC Materials Trading Group Shanghai Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Shanghai Company"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of CREC Materials Trading Group Co., Ltd., serves as the centralized procurement executive body of China Railway Group Limited-a dual Fortune Global 500 company-in the East China region. It is primarily responsible for centralized procurement in the four provinces and one municipality (Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shandong, and Anhui), direct procurement for managed projects, and strategic procurement. The company was registered and established in Shanghai on November 20, 2012, with a registered capital of RMB 121 million.  

For over a decade since its establishment, Shanghai Company has undertaken centralized procurement services for numerous metro, urban rail, railway, highway, municipal, and building construction projects in East China. It has supplied hundreds of billions of yuan worth of engineering construction materials for projects in cities such as Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Jinan, Hefei, Wuhu, Nantong, and Qingdao. Leveraging the strong terminal demand market and resource advantages within the China Railway system, as well as the significant geographical advantages of being located in East China, Shanghai Company actively promotes strategic cooperation with upstream and downstream clients.
